Individual ice inserts come dehydrated and flat as paper. Hydrate under running water or soak in a small container. Pat the excess water off with a towel, then place the strip in the provided plastic bag and put it in your freezer. The insert will be ready in as little as 45 min.
The strips retain their water volume very well over time. You can keep refreezing them over and over. Occasionally, the insert will need to be re-wetted to maximize the volume of the ice cells. We recommend refreshing your insert every 3-5 wears.
I recommend that you DON'T bunch the strips in the freezer. The fabric side can stick to itself. Pulling it apart can reduce its lifespan. Lay flat shiny side down.
