This company is the culmination of my effort to cope with profound heat sensitivity and hot flashes.

After suffering from COVID several times in ‘20, I developed Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and a connective tissue disorder, symptomatic Hypermobility. Both made it nearly impossible to bear temperatures above 71 degrees without getting faint and woozy. Then I started perimenopause and began getting hot flashes! I got tired of hiding at home and started looking for a solution. After trying several products, I ended up making the very first Necksicle, which I called the Ice Bandana. It returned my freedom and restored my capacity to participate in life again!

On a whim, one fine day in June of 2026, I decided to try being a vendor at a small night market in Portland, where I met my now CMO, Amy. She had a contagious enthusiasm for the Necksicle, which she continues to share every day as she introduces our product to everyone she meets.
